CIA Members Give Back to the Community

A big part of CIA's mission is to "raise the level of understanding of our industry by the public." One way we do this is by giving back to the communities where we live and work through service projects.

On August 13th, members of CIA came together at the Crystal Coast Visitor Center on Emerald Isle to donate and install the center's new irrigation system. The project was well supported by the membership and was a tremendous success. We even received recognition on Emerald Isle's website. Follow the "More" link to see the press release Emerald Isle issued. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this initiative!

CIA also held a service project in Asheville on August 12th. During this project, volunteers installed an irrigation system at Ira B. Jones Elementary School. Thank you to Toro for donating the controller, rain sensor, valve heads, and nozzles. Thank you to K2 for donating the pipe fittings and valve boxes, and for volunteering their time on this project.

Thank you, again, to all of the members and volunteers who come out and support our service projects. More community service projects are coming up. Be on the lookout for information on how you can help.
