Virtual Winter Water Summit

Join the Carolinas Irrigation Association for the first ever virtual Winter Water Summit on Thursday, Feb. 4. The virtual Winter Water Summit offers attendees up to five CEUs and will feature both business and technical courses. 

Please note that these are not online courses that you can do on your own time. You will sign in to a live Zoom broadcast with the instructors. Each course will require sign-in to confirm that you are present during the course to qualify for CEUs.

Virtual Summit Schedule

8:30-9:30 a.m.
Basic Master Planning

This class examines and analyzes site irrigation water sources and projected annual water use and cost. Calculations are covered to determine correct water source sizing based on irrigation needs specific to geographic location. Cistern and retention pond use are included in this class and compared to domestic potable water systems. Annual consumption calculations include costs to operate irrigation systems based on selected water sources. By attending this class, you will learn how to correctly determine the accurate water source and projected impact costs for a site prior to any irrigation design.

Roundtable Discussion with NCICLB Leaders

The question-and-answer discussion will feature a panel made up of Steve Hill, Lisa Deubler and Juliane Bradshaw. The panelists will take audience questions as they relate to the NCICLB and GS 89G. Attendees can ask questions pertaining to both technical or business topics.

Irrigation vs. Sprinkler Systems – Two Different Things
